Talk of a recession, most dire prediction at least in that article.
Others are more direct. Nouriel Roubini, an economics professor at New York University who has been predicting the collapse of the housing bubble for years, wrote recently that not only is a recession inevitable, he also sees “the risk of a severe and worsening liquidity and credit crunch leading to a generalized meltdown of the financial system of a severity and magnitude like we have never observed before.”
Now that would be interesting to see. And as usual, the Dow tanked again. Guessing Friday’s holiday shopping hasn’t affected the stock market any. Stocks I follow, note the one in green.
Interesting tidbit, the dollar hit an all-time low Friday against the euro. Today’s supposed to be the big shopping day online, Cyber Monday. Will be interesting to see how sales add up and if that will positively affect the stock market. I haven’t bought anything. Been busy doing dishes and laundry. And watching the cats all curled up together on the sofa. They look so sweet. But aren’t of course. They be bad kittycats.
