Savannah’s in a video, she’s so cute. Now that’s a Kitty Movie Monday flick if ever there were one.

Yes, I know it’s Tuesday, I slept all of yesterday and am rapidly approaching the point of sleep now.

Today was the big ultrasound day, the 20 weeks ultrasound which turned out to be closer to the 18½ week ultrasound.

Ultrasound has come a long way since I had my baby. It is amazing how advanced they have become. Check out the Mayo Clinic slideshow. More images here. Imagine getting to see the cerebellum and corpus callosum, almost all the brain structures, way more detail than mine was. Not as detailed as a 3T MRI (which they don’t do on babies) thou. All mine showed was where the baby was and where the placenta was and that’s it.

I got to see Jill’s baby move around, open and close it’s mouth, suck it’s thumb - Jill’s got a pic of that last one. Got to see the brain, spinal cord, heart, ribs, even the tooth buds. Kid had all it’s fingers in fact everything seems intact. (more…)
