Overcome

Yesterday was so much fun. After I came home from work, while pulling off my socks, I looked at my leg, the part I can’t usually see without causing pain and discovered that a scrape on my leg looked horrid, all red, hot and swollen around it. Ewww, gross, figured I’d best get to Urgent Care and not wait to try to get an appointment with the doc on Monday or whenever there’s an opening.

So I hightailed it over to Urgent Care where I was diagnosed with cellulitis and, killing three ills with one visit, a UTI but since my kidneys hurt could be stones and I was still having flu-like (as they put it) symptoms but they really couldn’t do much about that. Then it was off to the pharmacy. That was the easy part, he took about two minutes to fill my prescription. Home to the little monsters that wanted feeding again.

Exhausted from all that, I slept for hours and hours. Tried to wake up but totally unable to do more than stumble around opening cans of cat food for a few minutes before being overcome with sleepiness, slept til today. Come to think of it the last week I was exhausted, slept most of the time. This is so not me. I’m even more exhausted than I was before going on the Amantadine, an antiviral drug that’s not working so hot at the moment.

Such is life.

Carnival Of The Cats #88

It’s time for that most favorite pasttime, the Carnival of the Cats. And don’t let the fact it is hosted at IMAO fool you, the grand master of catbloggers is behind it all. They don’t get much better than this.

Izzy up a tree
  • Lizards, they have lizards, Nardo’s favorite animal although he looks mighty fine in his holiday collar. Maybe I should get some for my kitties. (0)
  • In the defying credibility department, this can’t be topped. Don’t expect it to become a competitive sport. Vitality exercise, indeed. (0)
