Around The Sphere

What I’m reading now that I have plenty of time, ie not needing to study. Stuff is more interesting than what I write.

Maximus is one unhappy blogger, disillusioned with all political parties, they all seem to drift in a direction more PC, more government control and spending, more socialism, meaning less freedom for the people.

Dave over at Dean’s World reflects on the difficulty of getting good help. It all boils down to leadership. Some people just suck.

Whereas Shea tackles the lighter side of female dress. However the burka, hijab and other variants serve a useful purpose unrelated to subjugation of women, it makes it easy for suicide bombers to know who they will/won’t blow up.

Matt at Lone Star Times founds a new group, PETABOA. We really must protect the animals like the innocent little rats my kid’s pet snake, mOrn, eats for dinner. And I hate to think of what animals were killed to go in the kitties catfood.

And in the gee whiz facts department, Michael informs us the HIV virus damages/ravages/destroys the brain. Guessing that’s why Andy devolved into a one issue (gay marriage) site during last year’s election. Those very expensive, pledge drive inspiring drugs don’t help there.

Dr. Sanity clues us in on just where one can find instructions on how to build a nuclear bomb, ability to read Arabic essential. To paraphrase Monty Python, “Bless this, Allah, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.”

John collects quotes about everyone’s favorite Supreme Court pick… not! Links galore too.

Xrlq and commenters debate the constitutionality of the whole thing.

Jay provides some interesting facts about everyone’s favorite ACLU’s efforts to remove all vestiges/emblems/observances of religion from America.

Enjoy.
