Slept So

I was rather tired from all the excitement of getting the cats fixed so I went to sleep. Woke and decided to check the election results. They are now saying Bush took Ohio and it is looking likely that he will get the 270 votes he’ll need to win. I can rest easier now knowing that.

Kitties Are Back

And they were greeted warmly by Psycho Cat, touching noses, how sweet. And of course I fed them. Last I checked Meowza was sacked out on the floor with a perfectly good sofa untouched, Bazel was just watching me and Psycho Cat was washing Izzy.

Cats taken care of, I’ll be watching the election. I’ll be checking Megapundit and Vodkapundit throughout the night, why? To get election results.

Still Sleepy

Kitties aren’t fully awake so I have to wait. Bit of a pain as Psycho Cat won’t leave me alone if I venture out of my room. She really misses them. I wish I had the camera ready yesterday when they were all snuggled together, they were so cute. I did get a good shot of Krissie thou.

Creating A Saft Plugin

Someone emailed me about how to make a Saft plugin. Not having done so, I was determined to figure it out. Just had to make a text file and label it Info.plist. I used the example that is in the Readme and opened one of the plugins for a gander. Can add icons too. They opened just fine in BBEdit. Then I dropped it in a folder with the same title I used. My example was “Instapundit”. Then add .plugin to the folder name. My example “Instapundit.plugin”. I dropped it in a new folder titled “Blogs” in Library/Application Support/Saft/Sidebar/. Opened the sidebar, clicked on the folder and surfed Glenn’s site.

Note: Do not use Microsoft Word to create the document, use TextEdit of BBEdit.

Whew!

Had quite the morning. Fed the other cats then removed the food. Got the cat carriers at the ready and opened the door to my kid’s room where Meowza, Izzy, and Bazel spent the night. Meowza was the easiest to catch, got hiim in the carrier but as I wasn’t familiar with how the latch worked, he got out as I was stuffing Izzy in another carrier. I put him back in and carefully studied how to latch it. Got it that time.

Then the hard part. Bazel was having nothing to do with me and ran away. I spent the good part of the next twenty minutes chasing him down even going so far as bringing out some kitty treats (which Keefe ate). He ran in back of a bookcase, under a chair, behind the dining room table, under a stool then finally he tried to hide on a shelf that didn’t have an exit. He was cornered. I grabbed him from behind, extricated his claws from the shelving, and carried him to the cat carrier all the while getting mauled in the process.

Meowza and Izzy were waiting in the car (where I stuffed them partway thru the chase) when I brought Bazel in. I was nice to them not having the music too loud as I drove to the vet. No worry, they drowned me out with their meows. Meowza was the loudest. Cat was appropriately named.

They shut up at the vet’s and just sat quietly in their carriers, eyes wide, hyperventilating. There were some big dogs there. I did warn the vet about Bazel and he didn’t bring him out of the cage when he initially examined him. Told me all the kittys looked healthy, testicles descended, no ear mites. I’m to call around 3PM to see if they are awake and will be picking them up shortly after if they are.

Cats taken care of, I went to vote. Good time of day, no lines, about ten people voting at the time. No exit polls, no partisan peeps either. Expect around dinnertime, there just might be some lines, usually are. Will be anxiously waiting the results.

Meowza

Came home to find Psycho Cat beside herself missing her babies. She’ll be anxiously waiting their return. And I expect Meowza (pictured above) will get even fatter once fixed.
