Jeanne The Hurricane
This was the prettiest photo of Jeanne stirring up the water off the coast line of Nassau. Jeanne is notable for being the fourth big hurricane to hit Florida. This is shaping up to be one bad hurricane season for Florida.

Reuters photo, really should give credit. Expect the pictures tomorrow won’t be as pretty.
And no I don’t think it has anything to do with politics, hanging chads or anything like that. Just a hurricane.
Note, shots of newsmen in the dark with wind blowing thru their hair are boooooooring. Overkill. Give it up.
The Next Door Neighbors
Are up to trouble again testing their weaponry. Note, no cats were destroyed in the test. See. So quoting the Yahoo.
TEHRAN, Iran - Iran added a “strategic missile” to its military arsenal after a successful test, and the defense minister said Saturday his country was ready to confront any external threat. The report by state-run radio did not say whether the test involved the previously announced new version of the Shahab-3 rocket, capable of reaching Israel and U.S. forces stationed in the Middle East, or a different missile.
“This strategic missile was successfully test-fired during military exercises by the Revolutionary Guards and delivered to the armed forces,” Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani was quoted as saying.
Said missile can reach U.S. troops next door in Iraq but more important, it can reach the Jews. Think it’s a warning to keep away so they can develop their nukes. Once Iran goes nuclear, watch out. Those mad Mullahs will use them to wipe out Israel. Remember Israel is currently the only democratic country in the Middle East.
And Israel has nukes. So does the U.S.. Don’t mess with either of us.
One Fine Friend
Welcome back to blogging with one fine post about Prime Minister Ayad Allawi’s address to Congress, quoting a bit here from FoxNews:
We are fighting for freedom and democracy, ours and yours. Every day, we strengthen the institutions that will protect our new democracy, and every day, we grow in strength and determination to defeat the terrorists and their barbarism. The second message is quite simple and one that I would like to deliver directly from my people to yours: Thank you, America.
We Iraqis know that Americans have made and continue to make enormous sacrifices to liberate Iraq, to assure Iraq’s freedom. I have come here to thank you and to promise you that your sacrifices are not in vain.
The overwhelming majority of Iraqis are grateful. They are grateful to be rid of Saddam Hussein and the torture and brutality he forced upon us, grateful for the chance to build a better future for our families, our country and our region.
We Iraqis are grateful to you, America, for your leadership and your sacrifice for our liberation and our opportunity to start anew.
…My friends, today we are better off, you are better off and the world is better off without Saddam Hussein.
Your decision to go to war in Iraq was not an easy one but it was the right one.
There are no words that can express the debt of gratitude that future generations of Iraqis will owe to Americans. It would have been easy to have turned your back on our plight, but this is not the tradition of this great country, nor for the first time in history you stood up with your allies for freedom and democracy.
Remember that. And Jay comments on Kerry’s disgraceful response. Diplomacy concerning foreign leaders isn’t his strong point. I do feel if Kerry gets elected, he will quickly turn Iraq into another Viet Nam ie leave and leave the Iraqis to the terrorists and possibly his friends France and the U.N.. Whether he will reinstate Saddam is another question. Knowing his past dealings, I wouldn’t be surprised whatever he does. Jay does pose some interesting possibilities re the future of democracy in Iraq.
Now I do think I might have missed his phone call while I was at Urgent Care. Least he will understand if he reads this.
Priceless
I got a hearty laugh out of this pic, the first I’ve had in a while.

Priceless as is the Vomit Zones. I can so relate as the cats left a few piles, not photographed, in the living room the other day. Doubt my kid has cleaned them up either. Know Krissie hasn’t. She is the biggest culprit for leaving piles all over the place. She is also the one cat that eats the stuff. Gross!
Pink
I woke in the wee hours suffering from a certain burning and pink pee. So I did the logical thing - drowned my sorrows in cranberry juice. It’s supposed to be good for stuff like that. Must liquid later and a few clots, it stopped burning and I went back to sleep. Now I have a headache. Suppose I should do something about the pink stuff in case it’s a UTI. And it’s the weekend and the doc’s office is closed. Oh well, it does get my mind off my kid.
So, anyway, following my reasoning, pink. Do girls like pink? In their site design not their pee. My skins have not been too terribly pink. Except for Angelina’s glasses in my default and matching text color to her lipstick in a few skins, I tend toward black or white, fairly minimalist designs without a ton of images. Well, usually just one. Loads faster that way.
Revisiting my thoughts on this design. I do like the header, simple with the site nav just below the title. May theme something similar. However, just looking at it (background, color) makes my headache worse. Doubt I’ll be going pink anytime soon.
Except for the pee.
Lost Her Vibe
That’s what my kid told me when I asked about her doing massages. Hello, maybe I’ve lost my vibe about supporting her. We had a rather big disagreement some hours ago. Really helps to have been up some 24 hours without sleep when I lose it over her spending. See, I got the phone bill and checked the bank balance, not something I suggest doing on no sleep.
Mind you it wasn’t just the money, her telling me what to do grates. Somehow advice like sell the van so I can buy her a new car doesn’t sit well. And expecting me to do stuff when it’s hot out and I am too fatigued to do much, well that annoys too especially since she spends all her time hanging out with her friends. She only has two classes til October so she isn’t currently overburdoned with school.
Thou she may be stressed cause her dad is sick, news to me as she usually tells me nothing, and can no longer ride motorcycles. Not sure why there but then neither can I. But then, who cares about what I can do or not do? Not her. Thou she wants me to make lifestyle changes so I can be healthy enough to keep her in the money. It’s all about her. Just like her dad. Bah.
