So says Bill O’Reilly about Kerry’s speech which he’s seen. Not that the speech is any help, Kerry repeats the “Help is on the way” mantra much like Edwards repeated the “Hope is on the way” mantra. One thing he did say was that it was an hour long, yes and we aren’t getting out of Iraq in any hurry thou I expect once elected, Kerry will pull another Viet Nam and get us out rather quickly capitulating to the enemy.

Anyway, got better things to do than be bored for a whole hour. Like read this report from ZDNet about who will get VeriChipped first. Quoting:

The Federal Drug Administration issued a ruling Tuesday that essentially begins a final review process that will determine whether hospitals can use RFID systems from the Palm Beach, Fla.-based company to identify patients and/or permit relevant hospital staff to access medical records, said Angela Fulcher, vice president of marketing and sales at VeriChip.

One reason to fear getting sick, go to hospital/ER, get chipped. How very devious, not only does it insure a captive to be chipped, but it insures that those opposed to getting chipped will be denied medical treatment. Following the logic, since the Religious Right are opposed to being chipped, and they will be denied treatment if not chipped, the number of those pesky Christians will decrease due to illness/death thus solving that problem. Here’s the kicker for the Christians.

Don’t feel like doing much so posting a pic to remind me why I shouldn’t kill the little beasties for wrecking my house. They are just so cute.

Overslept cause I wasn’t feeling well or is it back is sore cause I overslept, whatever. Heard something, thought it was the cats. Open door, no cats. Followed the sound which by now sounded more like hysterical sobbing.

Opened door to kids room and there she was sobbing hysterically, cell phone to her ear. Closet door on the floor. Finally got it out of her that it fell when she opened it, that after she informed me, still hysterical mind you, that two soda cans exploded in her car. Cherry coke. It is terribly hot here, supposed to hit 105 so naturally, if you leave the cans in the car, they will explode.

Tried to calm kid then hit the kitchen to feed the cats. Another disaster, the dishes I had washed last night, but forgot to put away, were all over the floor, broken china everywhere. Thankfully, not much of the stuff was breakable but what was was broken. And, as usual, the stuff in the window, cute cat stuff, was in the sink. Noted the Garfield salt and pepper shakers were chipped. Think I’d better give up on having stuff. And naturally, I told my kid who, still sobbing, helped me pick up the pieces.

Then it was on to the living room where they had toppled a pile of books. I picked those up and rescued some stuff they would chew to shreds given the chance. More kid comforting who was now sobbing about the English placement test she needs to take. Near straight A student. Sobbing. I tried to remind her she was doing much better than when she took it the first time straight out of high school. She also has a final today too. Summer school.

Then I dropped the bomb, told her I was going to retire. (more…)
