Daddy Daughter

It’s nice to see dads with their daughters, family togetherness. Daughter campaigning with their dad, that too. Thanks Matt.

Carnival of the Cats #17

Is over at Your Moosey Fate (yes, he moved his site) and it’s filled with lots of kitty filled goodness. >^..^<

And check out Lair for the address of the next one.

Blogger Import

Since the Blogger import went without a hitch into the unlinked per request test blog, and since it had an entry already in it, the “Hello World” one which didn’t get destroyed in the process, I figured what the hay.

So…

I backed up my database like a good Moggie Mog, made the required changes over at Blogger, then imported the blog entries. It went perfectly as far as I can tell. There were some dupes cause I was adding them manually, but I deleted those rather quickly. I still have a copy of the original so if there are any missed, I can dump them in rather quickly.

Now to give them titles and change their categories, all stuck in General. Shouldn’t be that much a problem as I didn’t post as often back then.

Creative Cats

It can be observed that cats will make a toy out of anything, hence the trail of havoc and destruction all over the house which I won’t photograph. I do have gallons of the high priced carpet cleaner/pet deodorizer thou which I use way too frequently but not on the toys. Ritzi has chosed the low budget option, her tail. She just nonchalantly swings it back and forth amusing the easily amused here. Of course, Bazel proves one can keep oneself amused well enough by playing with himself.

Kindof wish I’d had the camera handy this morning when Ritzi had Jezebel in a death grip preventing her from getting any canned kitty food. Mean mama giving the boys preferential treatment.

Which Is It?

I am miserable, absolutely positively miserable, and I don’t know which disease process is causing my discomfort.

MS? Cauda Equina? Something else?

Must. Call. Doc. Eventually.

Update: 3:35PM Called doc, since it didn’t come on suddenly, he advised me to call the clinic in the morning unless I just can’t pee or can’t stand the pain but then the ER takes like forever to be seen so the clinic might actually be faster. So I do tend to procrastinate.

Kevin’s Pinger

Kevin’s trackback pinger now works for WordPress. Go Kevin.

We’re going to have all kinds of people making stuff for WordPress, even eee! users.

WordPress rules.

Spiffy New iPods

60GB, cool, and back to the old design. I do so love the scroll wheel of the original. Don’t. Have. Mini. (more…)

Domino Effect

Michelle Malkin will be on FoxNews what time zone, discussing her fellow Filipinos, their government anyway, who caved to the terrorists. IMHO, it’s not a matter of race, it’s a matter of cowardice. Cowards with a long history of caving.

The Philippines, with a reputation as Asia’s kidnap capital, has plenty of recent experience negotiating for hostages, despite an official policy against doing so. Two high-profile mass abductions have earned the Al-Qaida-linked Abu Sayyaf terrorist group millions in ransom.

And the cowards will all be gone from Iraq Monday.

What remains to be seen is if said terrorists will release that hostage… alive… with head attached.

Expect more hostages, more beheadings, more capitulations. Worked for Spain, worked for Phillipines and it will absolutely work for John F’n Kerry who has plenty of experience with such things.

Allah Akbar!

Ill

This is good, keep abreast of Andrew’s health here. It is after all of pressing importance to know that one of the blogosphere’s biggest is suffering. Perhaps he needs another pledge drive. Or that (mentioned in comments) trip to the bathhouse, that too. One would think with the FMA defeated, Andy would be feeling better.

One of his commenters has enlightened me on another medical condition.

“Zetetic, you forgot the other form of Rectalis Kerryitis which isn’t as rare. The symptoms are taking both sides of an issue while talking out one’s ass.”

Absolutely brilliant.

Think they both suffer from a little solipsism. “Completely, utterly unrelated,” ha! Being a one issue blogger is sure to turn people off after a while unless, of course, your audience is all that same one issue. In this case - gay.

Drop In An Oil Well

Why were we giving them money to begin with? From MyWay is this bomb.

The House voted 217-191 to remove $25,000 in the $19.4 billion 2005 foreign aid bill earmarked for Saudi Arabia.

The funds were designated for military training but approval would have triggered millions of dollars in discounts on hardware and other military training, lawmakers said.

It’s not that the amount of money is so large, Resurrectionsong, it’s what’s tied to it that is. Sides, as you pointed out, they do have the French.

“I don’t want my taxpayer dollars going to the Saudis and I don’t want anyone else’s to,” said Nevada Democratic Rep. Shelley Berkley.

Supporters of the measure also argued that with Saudi Arabia’s massive wealth from ownership of one-fourth of the world’s proven oil reserves, the kingdom should not need financial aid from the United States.

I don’t want the U.S. military in Saudia Arabia either or for that matter, U.S. citizens. Not that they are any great friend of the U.S., in bed with French, but it’s just too dangerous to be over there.

Sometime Life Sucks

Soon to be former coworker had an interesting week. Thanks to sharp hearing, when he was chatting on the phone with his wife, he thought he heard a man. Had a friend check, was a man. He confronted her when he got home and, fuzzy memory here, think things got ugly fast. The wife had denied that a guy was there but he had witnesses. Undeterred, she wasn’t telling. OK, friend ran the plates. Oh, did I mention the friend was a cop.

Good thing to cause when he went over to confront the guy, apparently a not so former boyfriend, said boyfriend had a gun. End result, fuzzy on details, they had a knock down drag out fight or, at the very least, he decked the guy.

The interesting thing in all this is they had decided the marriage wasn’t working. He had the divorce papers all ready but she refused to sign. Apparently, the law has changed cause if the wife refuses to sign, he can’t get a divorce and without a divorce, he can’t throw her out like my ex did to me. Now he has cause for divorce so it will be easier except for the fact she is going to file mental abuse charges against him probably cause he wants the divorce. Can she do that? Gee, I sure lost out here.

S’ok, next time I’m going for a prenup and will insist it contains a clause that he will not violate the terms of the Geneva Convention for treatment of prisoners of war. Yeah, that should do it.

Not that I’m in any hurry for a next time, well it sortof would be nice, but as I am rather miserable, currently from the neuralgia, who cares.
