Glenn found these spiffy movie posters at MooreWatch sure to decorate many a college dorm room.

Michele brings us the heart and soul of Democratic fundraisers.

At least someone is reforming his ways according to the King of Fools.

Some haven’t seems they just don’t have time for terrorists according to Castle Argghhh! Allah noticed this too with his usual flair.

And on a lighter note, Balloon Juice covers the difficulties of instituting universal health care.

Not to be left out in the link fest, Lileks and Lileks at his best.

Flawed Intelligence

Jay covers the intelligence level of the Senate Intelligence Committee, apparently there was wrong info on the WMD. Saddam didn’t have any WMD. Might mention, according to the Post:

… almost two tons of low-enriched uranium and about 1,000 radioactive samples used for research had been removed from Iraq’s Tuwaitha Nuclear Center and brought to the United States for security reasons.

Two tons, that’s a lot, wonder how many dirty bombs could have been made by that. Oh, but Iraq has no WMD. We were wrong on that count.

The airlift of the radioactive materials was completed June 23, Abraham said in a statement, “to keep potentially dangerous nuclear materials out of the hands of terrorists.” Less sensitive radiological materials — used for medical, agricultural or industrial purposes — were left in Iraq, according to a Department of Energy statement.

So, said two tons of uranium was potentially dangerous, looks like a WMD, works like a WMD, must be a WMD especially since Tuwaitha had been the center of Saddam Hussein’s nuclear weapons program, the one they now say he didn’t have, flawed intelligence and all.

In April 2003, just days after the statue of Hussein in Baghdad was pulled down, a U.S. Marine engineering company took a close look at Tuwaitha, which is 30 miles south of Baghdad. There they found guards had abandoned their posts and looters were roaming the giant facility. At one storage building, which later was found to hold radioactive samples used in research, the radiation levels were too high to enter safely, although the entrance door stood wide open.

Wonder how much they got? Wonder if the looters are still alive considering the radiation levels? Wonder who still has some of this uranium? Wonder if we will find out in some very unpleasant way? Wonder if there is any intelligence left in the Senate?

Fan Service

Slash videos of Kerry and Edwards thanks to the almighty Glenn.

Trust me, they are no Sephy/Cloud, Zechs/Treize, Heero/Duo, Vash/Wolfwood or any number of slashable cuties.

Where will it end?

Gay Friendly Ticket

Kerry will play well to the gay community as noted in WND.

“John Kerry believes that same-sex couples should be granted rights, including access to pensions, health insurance, family medical leave, bereavement leave, hospital visitation, survivor benefits, and other basic legal protections that all families and children need,” the site proclaims. “He has supported legislation to provide domestic partners of federal employees the benefits available to spouses of federal employees. He was one of 14 senators - and the only one up for re-election in 1996 - to oppose the Defense of Marriage Act.”

Edwards doesn’t do too bad either.

The group commented on Edwards’ “strong support for key issues important to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and [transgendered]” persons, including supporting nine of 13 key issues of importance to homosexuals.

Don’t expect Bush, who supports the FMA to get the gay vote. Expect this to get dicey. See, 1.4 million petitions in support of traditional marriage will hit the U.S. Senate today.

Must Remember

If I want to sleep, not to drink Mountain Dew so late in the day. Oh, I did eventually sleep but I woke with a headache and nerve pain, the trigeminal neuralgia in my face and pain in my hand. Has nothing to do with the Dew, not sure why I’m in pain.

Solu-Medrol finally wore off maybe?

Light typing day, will probably not play as much as I did yesterday.
