A Ho Chi Minh City museum that honors Vietnam war protesters features a photograph of Sen. John Kerry being greeted by the general secretary of the Communist Party, Comrade Do Muoi.

A snapshot of the display in the Vietnamese Communist War Remnants Museum - formerly known as the “War Crimes Museum” - was acquired over the weekend by Jeffrey M. Epstein of Vietnam Vets for the Truth, a group opposing Kerry’s campaign for the presidency.

…”The Vietnamese communists clearly recognize John Kerry’s contributions to their victory,” he said. “This find can be compared to the discovery of a painting of Neville Chamberlain hanging in a place of honor in Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest in 1945.”

…”The Vietnamese communists clearly feel that the American anti-war protesters were a very important force in undermining support in the United States for American war efforts, a force that contributed materially to ultimate communist victory in 1975,” the group said in a statement.

Honored for his anti-war protesting, for supporting, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. How special. I’m sure if he becomes President, he will continue to give his support to the foreign leaders that matter. Heaven help us cause we’re sure going to need it.

Fixed the PC, decided to see if, since I blocked something outgoing, I could mess with firewall to fix. It was fubarred. Decided to reinstall and doing a clean uninstall and reinstall seemed like a good idea. So, I uninstalled it, removing all trace of it being there and lo and behold the browser started working, took me right to the site for a short survey, asked which version I uninstalled. Downloaded a fresh install and after updating my virus definitions, running a complete scan, scanning for spyware, running Windows update, rebooting, reinstalling the firewall, rebooting again, all is working as intended. Mind you I doubt I will try automatic updates again as I have no idea what it updates cause it doesn’t tell you. Absolutely no info whatsoever and coming from Microsoft, that is scary.

Then a friend stopped over with a fresh baked loaf of bread for my bday. Nothing beats fresh baked bread, just ask Lair. That lifted my mood considerably as among other things, my mailing list appears dead. Wrong day for it to be dead or everyone to be busy.

Had a lovely massage and somewhat less lovely catupuncture. Sharp kitty claws digging into my flesh during my massage ruins the mood. Think the kittens need to go to school, get more training, learn to do it proper so I don’t scream when they jump on me and dig their little claws in. Yeah, that’s it school or throw them in another room and close the door before giving me a massage. That might work even better. Course, they do have the redeeming feature of being incredibly cute and cute goes a long way.

Finally, well kid got me jewelry for my birthday since it was all I could think of wanting that she could afford. Remember, almost all my jewelry, all the good stuff anyway, was stolen. First attempt trying on the earrings wasn’t too successful but after a good deal of poking, I have holes in my ears again.

Weblog Tools Collection has a fix to the comment spam words bug. One caveat, when copying and pasting the ” didn’t work, got errors. I had to manually remove the ” and retype it.

OK, copy paste does have it’s limitations.

What it’s all about. Beavis and Butthead, yeah fits. Don’t read those two anyway, not my thing. Never could get into it, sides their sleaze is a turnoff.

Apparently they are out in force over at the WordPress forums. So reports Zen and the Art of Blogging. I have to confess not checking them much since I upgraded to Mingus. So far, most everything works as intended excepting ping and trackbacks. However, not using Safari helps as it tends to time out.

So, to go back to beta testing or not…

Think I’ll play around with designs instead until they enable multiple blogs. Already made another change to Zen, shadows on headers but they only work in Safari. Apple rules.

Was poking around my ecosystem stats and out of curiosity wondered if any of the linked Blogspot blogs had taken advantage of the spiffy new designs. Haven’t checked them all but so far no.

Some that haven’t are the bad hair blog, Heathblog, A Little Less Saucy, Dalek Weblog which I like cause it has Daleks.

Ah, found one Quotes, Thoughts, and other Ramblings, nice design. Comeon peeps, Zeldman designed some great stuff for Blogger/Blogspot. Give it a try.
