Have I Totally Fubarred It

Yet, updated a few more files. If it still doesn’t work, guess I won’t be showing as updated til the WP developers fix it and I update to a corrected nightly.

Update: Doesn’t work and manually pinging Blogrolling after I post which is a royal pain. Still getting fatal errors too.

Little Problem

Tried that and my blog still doesn’t ping any of the update services. That does explain my plunge in the stats, went off the B4B short blogroll.

Update: Nabbed the latest xmlrpc.php from cvs and trying again. Got a fatal error so went back to the previous one. That’s not working now either.

Updating The Services

Missed something when I updated, something important, this. It’s in the comments.

Go into your Wordpress admin panel, goto Options > Writing then in the “Update Services” box enter these:

http://rpc.weblogs.com/RPC2
http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping
http://ping.blo.gs/
http://rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/
http://api.my.yahoo.com/RPC2
http://ping.rootblog.com/rpc.php
http://ping.weblogs.se/
http://bitacoras.net/ping/
http://www.weblogues.com/RPC/
http://xping.pubsub.com/ping/

It means that whenever you add a new entry you “ping” those sites with your update and it means those that use blog-checkers can see when your site is updated.

Thanks Stew.

Now to figure out the weird characters that have been showing up when tracking back.

Baby Hawks

When you tire of looking at kitties on Lair’s webcam, check out baby hawks on the hawkcam. They’re live too.

Latest On The Barbie

Go see now. Fully accessorized too. This is funny.

National Day Of Oversleeping

Yeah, well I did. Haven’t gotten out of bed, haven’t turned on the news. Haven’t even gone and fed the cats. Must do that.

And take pics.

And go to the bank before it gets too hot.

So, not having done anything, what’s news? Ecosystem is hacked again. Amusing as today is the National Day of Prayer and the number one blog listed is an LDS Blog Ring. Political statement perhaps since they are excluded from said National Day of Prayer. Wouldn’t be surprised.

Hat tip to David for pointing this out.
