Wish I Didn’t Know That
Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer but only evangelical Christians can lead prayer sessions so if you’re not one of those, forget it. You’re not welcome. And we have a problem with Muslims?
I am so not linking their store. Commercializing it cheapens it. Being exclusive cheapens it too IMHO. I am thankful that on the net, in Yahoo Groups even, when there is a need, people pray for each other, give to each other, support each other. Doesn’t matter the religion. What matters is what’s in one’s heart. Good people come in all religions and the world is far richer for them. Prayer should not be exclusive, kindof kills the reason for having said National Day of Prayer.
I have noticed great good, people reaching out to help each other irregardless of religion. Look at the Spirit of America, bloggers got together to raise money to bring freedom to Iraq. Then there’s Chief Wiggles with his toy drive for the Iraqi children. They don’t give only to evangelical Christians. They’re giving to Muslims.
There is a big difference between evangelical Christians and Muslims. In the case of Muslims, most live under governments which enforce their beliefs, denying all others. In the case of evangelical Christions, there are many that wish it were so here. I wonder what they will be praying for.
