Taking The Plunge

Lisa, previously unknown on the Mogblog radar, has done it. Kate is working on doing it. And what is it? Why converting over to WordPress of course.

Us WordPress users are spoiled with all kinds of nifty features like no rebuilds, quicktags which make editing a breeze, a whole slew of options, and our own link manager, surpassing Blogrolling in features - biggest one doesn’t go down unless the whole site is down.

I’ve learned a bit since I started and have gotten halfway decent with CSS and WP so I can actually offer help. Hoping to be able to offer stylesheets when I get good enough and get done with these pesky taxes.

And if one needs a browser check, I have Safari, Camino, Firefox, Mozilla, OmniWeb, IE (both Mac and Windows), and even Opera (finally downloaded the freebie ad filled one only for checking). Trick is finding me awake which I am quickly not becoming.

Thou Shalt Not…

Of the choices listed for the 11th commandment, I especially like…

Thou shalt not… covet thy neighbour’s iPod.

But then as I have an iPod, that would be an awfully easy commandment to keep.

Hattip to Eric.

Any More Questions

Blogs for Bush has an alternate history which should be a must read for those thinking the 9/11 Commission has any real purpose. There is a limit to what one can justifiably do before a massive terrorist attack. So no, without 9/11, our policy wouldn’t have changed, couldn’t have changed without massive international outcry.

Odd how we are criticized for taking preemptive action against Iraq simultaneously with being criticized for not taking preemptive action against Al Qaeda.

Can’t have it both ways.

Your Very Own Kerry Webpage

The Kerry campaign has hired MoveOn.org’s Zack Exley as Director Of Online Communications And Organizing. So what is new? This, your very own web page at John Kerry’s site. This is my favorite so far although this one is rather amusing too. Check them all out. Don’t expect this incredibly brilliant innovation to last long.

Catch Up

Been a few days that I’ve been out of the loop, worked last three. I can safely say I survived my first of many 48 hour work weeks after coming back from my surgery and I am exhausted, sore, and very tired. So going to catch up on some sleep.

And since I missed about all of what Condi said, time zone difference, was at work thru most of it, I will direct you to this fine post of Jay’s which sums up the critically important stuff.

My take, it’s too late to cry over spilt milk (9/11), might as well get to the task of cleaning it up (got a war to fight). As we can’t go back in time and change the past, best we can do is go on and learn from it. Course, that probably obscures the real purpose of the 9/11 Commission which is to find someone in our government to blame so the victim’s families can sue their asses off.

It’s all about litigation and of course politics (is an election year) and much ado ($$$) is to be made out of muckraking. There are books to be sold and races to win. Who cares about the truth?
