Not that I’m not tired after going to PT finally, whacking weeds with the weed whacker before the thunderstorm hit (sheets of rain, lots - more weeds will pop up), replacing the showerhead, oh and copious petting the kitty.

Psycho Cat.

She actually let me pet her, been checking on her frequently. Cat was panting, looked up at me and meowed plaintively. So, after gathering up all the supplies in case she doesn’t do her motherly duty, I tried to place her in the queening box, petting her all the while. She lasted less than a minute, let out a really loud meow and jumped out. Right now she’s hiding. Hopefully my kid will find her before the kittens arrive.

They are looking for her now. I hadn’t looked when I put her in the box, but kid noticed the cat’s water broke on her bed.

Oh, this will be fun.

Not.

Cat was under the buffet in the dining room.

8:30 PM Two kittens, one black and white, one mostly black, poor little things were crawling over each other, placenta still attached to one, mom ignoring them, so I got the duty of tying off and cutting the umbilical cord and throwing the placenta in the trash. Got the kittens in the box, and kid managed to get Psycho Cat in it briefly before diving back under the buffet.

Bloody mess under there. Well, was planning on redoing the flooring, guess it will be sooner rather than later.

Back to the preggy cat, more kitties to come. She just lay there staring out at us ignoring her kittens.

Pic taken in kid’s room, finally got cat out from under the buffet, kid pulled her out.

9:39 No more kitties yet, thou she has pushed a bit. She is being a better mommy now and the kittens look cuter now that she has washed them.

9:59 Psycho let out a meow and the third kitten was born while I was watching. She’s washing him off now. Kid mentioned the daddy was outside, prowling or does he know?

10:30 Cat finally expelled and ate the placenta for the third kitten. Still feels like there’s at least one more in her and I’m pooped. Fixed a snack for my kid and her friend, they can watch over the brood. I’m bout ready to hit the sack here. Course, if they need me, they will get me. So I still might not get much sleep.

10:55 Kid told me to get in here, fourth kitten just came out. The miracle of cell phones.

11:10 Told the cat one push and the placenta will come out, she did and it did and she promptly set to eating it. And as I really didn’t want to watch that, or photograph it, I left. Kid was glad we didn’t do that, eat placentas that is. I have to agree. Ick.

11:24 They don’t feel any more kittens in there, will check again when the cat stretches out. Hopefully, she is done. Eight cats now in the house, way too many.
